It often seems that politicians like to stick their nose into things they know nothing about. Like guns and economics.
And then they try to make laws with their no-nothing knowledge.
Let me give you an example. Colorado Democrat Dianna Degette was a lead sponsor federal on a ban on high-capacity ammunition magazines.
She clarified her position by saying “I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those know they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”
As luck would have it, magazines are reloadable….
