I used to receive all kinds of threats from professional athletes, and I didn’t have a problem when they let me know how mad they really were when I said things about them because it let me know how to put restraints and boundaries around myself. Now, we have this whole concept of “disrespect” that we’ve manufactured in our minds. At all times, everyone has to meet our standard of respect. If not, we’re capable of jumping on you. This is the rap mentality that’s ruining sports.
