There is absolutely nothing wrong with open carry. For many people it’s their preferred method of carry.
Open carry advocates maintain the simple display of a weapon is enough to make a criminal rethink their choice to carry out a crime.
Others would say open carry opens up a can of worms that’s better left un-opened and that we would all be better of carrying concealed.
Regardless of where you stand on the carry debate there is one thing that needs to be said for certain. If you open carry you have to be situationally aware so your gun is not taken from you and then used against you.
Well that’s what one open-carrier just learned in a very, very hard way.
