In the Alabama Senate race, Democratic candidate, Doug Jones, briefly took the lead from the embattled Republican, Roy Moore after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced.
The accusations have shaken up what was thought to be a very safe Republican seat, which was also previously held by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. It has led to numerous Republicans in Congress, and the White House, to further call on Moore to bow out of the race if the claims surrounding him are true.
Alabama law would not allow the candidates to remove their names from the ballot this soon before an election.
However, Moore has shown no hints or signs of dropping his Senate bid, and is calling the accusations politically motivated.
“I have not been guilty of sexual misconduct with anyone. These allegations came only four-and-a-half weeks before the general election on Dec. 12,” Moorepost was originally published on this site
