In the wake of the horrific attack on a church this past Sunday in Texas, the media was in the Lonestar state to speak with civic leaders about the tragedy.
One of the first questions asked, of course, was about whether or not Republicans would now support gun control measures that would strip law abiding citizens of their right to carry a firearm.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) was one of the leaders that was forced to ask that question and he ridiculed the illogical, crass nature of the query. He pointed out that violence happens every day, and that more often than not, that violence does not include firearms.
