Many colleges and universities have declared themselves to be gun free zones and a number of state legislatures have passed laws banning firearms from public colleges and universities, but that has not stopped the crimes on and off many campuses. In fact, it only leaves more students vulnerable to becoming a victim of a crime whether it be robbery or sexual assault.
That’s why a group of students from Georgia Tech have began teaching other students how to handle a firearm and how to use to protect themselves. The group of students who initially got together for sport shooting decided to use their knowledge to help save their fellow students.
