One of the major issues facing students at any in-city campus around the nation is the possibility of outsider crime making its way into the otherwise calm learning environment.
When it comes to Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia, this couldn’t be any more true.
The campus itself sits smack-dab in the center of Atlanta, situated between 10th Street and North Avenue, precisely at the center of the I75 – I85 interstate connector that runs through the heart of the traffic-impaired city.
This means, unfortunately, that the neighborhoods around the historic school have seen their ups and downs over the course of the last few decades, with a massive, gentrifying cleanup from the 1996 Olympic Games having long since given way back to the wilds of the inner city.
