National Background Check System Didn’t Prevent Shooting Death of 2 Police Officers

How many times have you heard anti-gun liberals say that if we can stop certain people from buying a gun that gun violence will go down and lives will be saved?

Quentin Smith of Westerville, Ohio was banned from purchasing or even being in possession of a firearm, therefore, according to the anti-gun liberals, he should not be that much of a menace to society.

On Saturday, Smith shot and killed two police officers. He obtained the handgun by having a neighbor purchase it for him. That neighbor is also facing charges for providing the handgun, but that didn’t stop him from buying the gun and then giving it to Smith.

(Washington Post) – The man accused of fatally shooting two Westerville, Ohio, police officers Saturday was barred from legally owning a firearm but paid a friend to buy him one, federal prosecutors said.
